Online Renewal Information
A courtesy notice is e-mailed to the licensees email address of record about two months prior to the expiration date as a reminder that the license expiration date is approaching. It is the licensee’s responsibility to maintain current address information with the Nevada Division of Insurance (Division) at all times. Like many other states and jurisdictions, the Division has mandated electronic renewal applications for the following license types:
- Resident producers; surplus lines brokers; independent, public, and associate adjusters
- Nonresident producers; surplus lines brokers; independent, public, and associate adjusters
Resident and nonresident electronic renewals must be submitted online utilizing SIRCON or NIPR. The electronic renewal process is available 24/7 and must be completed prior to the license expiration. Those individuals and business entities submitting online renewals through SIRCON may print their renewed license online for free for 30 days following the online renewal submission. There is no Sircon service fee for up to 30 days after license approval and renewal for license applications and license renewals completed through Compliance Express. Duplicate license copies can be printed at any other time for the state fee and a Sircon service fee of $5.00. Online processing fees apply.
Resident licensees are subject toto Nevada’s continuing education (CE) requirements. Nevada requires resident producers to complete 30 hours of CE within a three year renewal period. Three (3) of the 30 hours must be in the category of ethics. You may utilize the SIRCON link to access a list of approved CE providers and Nevada specific courses. Upon completion of the CE course the CE provider will upload the completion into the licensees CE transcripts which may be verified on the Sircon website.
Yes responses to screening questions
If you answer 'yes' to any of the application or renewal background questions, please submit supporting documentation to the Division electronically using either SIRCON or NIPR’s Attachment Warehouse.
Manual Renewal Information
At this time, many license types are not renewable online, for those license types it will be necessary to complete the renewal form you received via email. If you did not receive your renewal notice you may not have updated your contact information with the Division. If you do require a duplicate renewal form, attach the applicable fee and submit the renewal request to the Division prior to the expiration date indicated on the renewal form.
Failure to timely renew or request a duplicate renewal is the responsibility of the licensee.
Late Renewal – Late Fees
License renewals that are not received by the renewal expiration date are subject to late renewal fees. Remember, the license renewal request must be received on or before the date for the renewal specified on the license.
