1. How do I know if I am eligible for COBRA?
If you work for a large employer (20 or more employees), and lose your health insurance for any reason other than gross misconduct, you are eligible for COBRA (federal) if the employer remains in business and the policy remains in force. Contact the COBRA Section of the U.S. Department of Labor (866) 487-2365.
If you work for a Nevada employer with less than 20 employees, you may be eligible for state continuation. Please see NRS 689B.120 – 689B.249.
