The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) is a national regulatory body that includes all 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories.  Through the NAIC, the states work together to set standards, including developing model laws and licensing practices that provide uniformity for the industry.

Insure U is the consumer information arm and website of the NAIC.  It includes reference material, as well as activities, games, quizzes and presentations. A glossary of insurance terms is also available.

The Insurance Information Institute provides consumer information, articles, and videos with a focus on home, renters, auto, and life insurance.

NextGen Personal Finance is a non-profit organization that provides free high-school personal finance material and support, including an insurance lesson plan. 

The Griffith Foundation provides an online course with lesson plans for risk management and insurance that covers insurance careers, auto, home, renters, life and health insurance.
