Commissioner's Title Insurance Advisory Committee
The Nevada Division of Insurance reestablished the Commissioner’s Title Insurance Advisory Committee in 2013. Chapter 679B.160 of the Nevada Revised Statutes allows the Commissioner to create advisory councils and committees to assist the Commissioner in discussing regulatory problems or other matters.
The Commissioner’s Title Insurance Advisory Committee comprises individuals representing title insurance companies, title agencies, consumers, and the Nevada Land Title Association. In addition, any interested parties are welcome to participate in committee meetings.
Committee members and meeting attendees have the opportunity to provide information and feedback to the Commissioner and staff on proposed legislation, regulations, bulletins, and other matters relating to the title insurance industry.
