The Commissioner’s Network Adequacy Advisory Council to Conduct First Public Meeting

CARSON CITY, NV – Members of the public are invited to attend the Commissioner’s Network Adequacy Advisory Council’s first public meeting on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 10 a.m. (PDT).

The Network Adequacy Advisory Council is composed of 9 members appointed by Nevada’s Insurance Commissioner Barbara Richardson. This Council was created under the Network Adequacy Regulation R049-14 to recommend additional standards for determining whether a network plan is adequate. Council recommendations must be provided to the Commissioner on or before September 15, 2016; this meeting will begin that process.

Network Adequacy measures whether a network plan has sufficient providers of health care services to meet the needs of its members.

The meeting will be conducted at the Nevada Division of Insurance in Carson City with a simultaneous video conference on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 10 a.m. (PDT) in Las Vegas at the below locations:
