Life and Health

The Life and Health Section is responsible for the analysis, review and approval (or disapproval) of rates and forms to ensure compliance with Nevada’s statutes and regulations, for a variety of insurance products ranging from health benefit plans to life insurance and annuities. Other specific types of insurance reviewed by the Section include accidental death and dismemberment, credit insurance, prescription drug plans, Medicare supplement plans, disability, dental, long term care, and Pre-paid Limited Health Service Organizations (lab only, x-ray only, dental only, mental health only).
