Cemetery Agent
How to Apply for a License:
Submit an Application
Individuals applying for a Cemetery Agent license should apply electronically on Sircon.com. The State licensing fee is $185. The vendor may charge transaction fees in addition to the state fee.
Be Fingerprinted for a Criminal History Background Check (Residents only)
Resident applicants must be fingerprinted for a criminal history background check. After applying for a license, upload to the application the Fingerprint Background Waiver, the fingerprint confirmation receipt showing the Transaction Control Number (TCN), and any other required supporting documentation (such as charging and resolution documents for any criminal history). The Fingerprint Background Waiver gives the Division legal authority to review your background report. Without the background waiver, your application cannot be fully reviewed or approved. To complete the background waiver, enter “Nevada Division of Insurance” in paragraphs 1 and 9, initial and date the bottom of page 1, and enter your name, date and signature on the bottom of page 2. Leave all of the agency information blank. Here is a sample background waiver.
**Please note the Fingerprint Background Waiver is linked to a third-party website. If you are having difficulties retrieving any of the forms, please notify the Division by emailing nevada.licensing@doi.nv.gov.
Make a reservation for digital fingerprinting through an approved vendor in Nevada (digital fingerprints cannot be accepted from out-of-state vendors). The criminal history report associated with your digital fingerprints is valid for six months.
Attach Employment Verification
Cemetery Agents must attach the Verification of Employment form to their license application. This form must be completed and signed by the cemetery seller who employs the agent.
How to Renew:
A Cemetery Agent license is valid for three years and expires on the last day of the month three years after issuance. Licenses must be renewed on Sircon.com, and the renewal fee is $185. If the license is not renewed by the expiration date, a late fee will be applied and the licensee will be able to pay the renewal fee plus the late fee for 30 days after the expiration date. Failure to renew by 30 days after the expiration date will result in the license being inactivated and the licensee will need to reapply.
Cemetery Agents must attach the Verification of Employment form to their renewal application. This form must be completed and signed by the cemetery seller who employs the agent.
