Reporting Requirements:

  • Triennial renewal fee $185.00 - Due the last day of the month which is 3 years after the month in which the license was issued. No grace period: late renewals are not accepted, and an application for a new license is required.
  • Notification of associated title agents - due within 10 days. https://doi.nv.gov/Licensing/Maintain-License-Association/Association-Maintenance/
  • Notification of changes for officers, directors, and owners - due within 10 days of the appointment.
  • Notification of changes in address or contact information including email - due within 30 days of the appointment.
  • Annual Title Certification report - due yearly by January 1st.

 

Application:

The following checklist is provided for title agency applications. Because this application has not been digitized, all documents are submitted via email or on paper. Any missing, incorrect, or incomplete documents can result in a delay in licensure approval or cause the application to be withdrawn-closed-as-incomplete. All items are due with the application. Fees for affiliation/appointment can be sent via mail or electronically using the EFT form for payment. Fees are non-refundable.

  1. Application: NAIC Uniform BE Paper Application 
    Include list of all owners, officers, directors, managers, etc. and percentage of ownership.
  2. Payment of all fees (EFT form for electronic payments):

    1. $185.00 - application fee
    2. $50.00 - affiliation fee (each affiliation)*
    3. $15.00 - appointment fee (each appointment)*
    4. $25.00 - Escrow rate fees filing - fees paid via SERFF https://www.serff.com/
  1. Affiliation form ($50 each)*fee to associate all title agents to title agency.
  2. Appointment form ($15 each) *fee to be appointed by the underwriter.

  4. Bond of $20,000 and power of attorney
  5. Nevada Secretary of State filings
  6. Copy of executed underwriting or agency agreement

Annual Title Certification:

Annual certification is required per NAC 682A.110, which states:

A firm or corporation licensed to act as a title agent, or a natural person appointed by a title insurer pursuant to NAC 692A.080, shall certify to the Commissioner on January 1 of each year the name of any:

  • Person he or she has appointed to act as a title agent;
  • Person he or she supervises or employs as an escrow officer; and
  • Other person he or she employs who performs other than clerical functions.
