Escrow Officer

Requirements:

Officers must reside in Nevada, or within 50 miles of the border.

Officers must be affiliated with a title agency or appointed to an underwriter.

Applicants must provide proof of at least one year of recent experience related to escrow.

 

Application:

The following checklist is provided for escrow officer applications. Because this application has not been digitized, all documents are submitted via email or on paper. Any missing, incorrect, or incomplete documents can result in a delay in licensure approval or cause the application to be withdrawn-closed-as-incomplete. All items are due with the application. Fees for affiliation/appointment can be sent via mail or electronically using the EFT form for payment. Fees are non-refundable.

  1. Application: NAIC Uniform Paper Application
    1. $185.00 – application fee due with application. EFT form for electronic payments]
  2. Payment of other fees [check made out to “Nevada Division of Insurance” for appointment/affiliation fee, EFT form for electronic payments]
    1. $50.00 – affiliation fee (or $15.00 – appointment fee if working for the underwriter)
  3. Affiliation form for agents employed by an agency (or appointment form for agents employed by the underwriter).
  4. Title addendum
  5. Supervisor memo: A memo from applicant’s supervisor verifying the experience of the applicant and the supervisor’s contact information.

License Renewal:

Renew online at https://www.sircon.com/nevada. Triennial renewal fee $185.00 - Due the last day of the month which is 3 years after the month in which the license was issued. Late renewals are accepted within a 30-days grace period after expiration with an additional $62.50 late fee. No reinstatements after the grace period; an application for a new license is required.
